One one my favorite things to do is hike along a deer trail by the river, looking for the beautiful, simple treasures nature has to offer. I grew up on 40 acres of farm land close to the river which was also surrounded by open acres and hills. I was able to roam, explore and learn about the wild world I live in. I understand that a lot of people don't get that same opportunity. I am lucky to feel so close to the natural world and have such a connection with it. I would love to share, through my blog, a tiny bit of the wonder I have.
My first job (which is a fabulous job) is that of wife and mother. I have three small children whom I love teaching, watching, and learning from. There is a lot our kids can teach us.
I am also an artist. I love creating. Sketching, painting, photography, music and designing are all passions of mine. I love getting into my creative "zone" and being able to make something beautiful while shutting out the rest of the world. My favorite art to create is that of nature's creatures. They are all so fascinating to me.
Where does the name Wild Berry Trail come from?
I love the name I chose for my blog. Have you ever been hiking and come across a wild raspberry bush? It is such a wonderful gift when that happens. Of course, you have to be observant and deliberate to find such a simple pleasure. That's what I want to focus on in my life. Deliberately looking for the simple pleasures my life has to offer; such as watching my children discover new things, creating a new piece of art, or catching a glimpse of a fox as it scurries past my trail. Simple things like that make my life meaningful.
